Problems with turkeys hatching

I had issues with my air cells progressing to far. That is why I run a 48 to 50% humidity during my incubation. That helped me in my styrofoam incubator. Hopefully by next spring I will have a cabinet incubator then my numbers will probably be where r2elk is at on his

They are more vascular than other eggs. they bleed like crazy . I find too that they don't always pip from where their nose is and it's hard to find it. Strong little buggers will crack the eggs where their legs are and I thought one was breech. So I helped it thinking it was upside down and he wasn't

My air cells are all over the place. Some look way too small , some run almost the length of the egg. That is why it is hard to me to see if they need more or less humidity.

Did you help them when they couldn't break the membrane . One is piping today . I bumped the humidity to 70 % but like the others he is not making much progress. with my chickens and guinea eggs if they do not move along I open the air hole and bit and they usually make it out fine. After 12 hours I will unzip them if the make no progress at all. I am usually successful doing this but the turkey eggs just bleed like crazy if you help them at all.

If the turkey eggs are bleeding when you help, you are helping them too soon. Be more patient.
