Problems with wolves

Hog traps for wolves, who would have thought?
Do you have a picture of what kind of trap it was?
I have wolf problems that keep coming back and shooting one is almost impossible.
Kill traps are no good because of the dogs in the area.
Did you use bait?

We used chicken, the type you would normally feed domesticated wolves. I don't know how well the trap would work for those in the wild, but it worked for trapping domesticated wolves. We had set up cameras around the trap, the type you would use for deer hunting. That way we could look back and see if the wolves were trying to get to the bait, and it allowed us to make some small changes to better our chances of capturing them.

We caught the male wolf first, though he nearly escaped. We lined the outside of the cage with chicken wire because the wolf had almost squeezed out one of the holes in the top of the cage. The female was a lot smarter, it took nearly a week to get her. She stayed near the male though and we knew she wouldn't go far. We did end up getting her, just because I think she was hungry enough to go for the bait.

I don't have a picture, but it was a basic hog trap like the one pictured below. The one we have has a wired floor in it.
