Process to incubate?

I am looking for a thread that describes the process to incubate eggs. I have hens and a rooster. What do I do after that? How do you keep the eggs?

I am not finding anything on egg collection for the incubator. Do they need to be eggs laid that day or can you use some over several days?

Some people hatch eggs that were laid that same day. Some people keep them for a month. Of course, the viability of the egg decreases with each day it is stored. Within a week would be the best time.
