Processed 1st batch of rabbits

Its been a long process getting here. We started with our rabbits back in January, and almost 6 months to the day we finally got to process a litter. When people say "breed like rabbits" they obviously have not tried to raise them. Numerous failed litters, combined with cold and now heat its been a challenge. I knew I was going to have a bit of a learning curve, but I think we have this down now. We processed 7 of the 8 from our 1st litter, and kept 1 back to put in our breeding line. We have a few more litters in the boxes now too.
So here are a few pictures from yesterday.

Only allowed to butcher your own animals on your own property for your own table - anything else requires a inspection/licensing. That's the way I read it.

But . . . lots of folks sell "under the table," and even may get a decent return. Though it just takes one disgruntled customer to upset that apple cart.
