Blackhead usually isn't much of a worry unless you have turkeys. It's not common for a chicken with blackhead to present any symptoms at all but it's usually fatal in turkeys hence why it is not advisable to keep chickens and turkeys together (among other reasons) because you could have blackhead in your chicken flock and never know it as they usually are asymptotic carriersThanks you! None of this she is greedy as and she is hard to catch - and she certainly is not dead. I will look into dry fowl pox
As for fowl pox, the dry form looks ugly but that's usually about it. The only time usually when a bird is in danger of dying from fowl pox is if they have the wet form (which presents as respiratory symptoms and usually white stuff in the throat). If your girl has fowl pox it looks to just be the dry form. In any case when they recover they won't get it again. As me and @Eggcessive have said though it very well just could be random injury
