Processed today, 39 CXs - from 60 chicks

Had a bad run early on, and it seems I got a straight run batch.

My smallest was just under 4lbs in the vak-pak. The biggest was 5.8.

$2.50/bird to process and vak-pak whole.

Kalmbach feed from a local feed store, on pasture in Salatin style pens.

I have now moved to Freedom Rangers that are supposed to show up tomorrow.

Either way I have sold a few and my freezer is full of wonderful chicken. Bright yellow fat, very good looking birds.

Good for you .. I just finished 19 from 26 chicks last sunday... Its awesome to see all that meat in the fridge and to know I was with it every step in the process..

So far I have sold 18 birds. I have recovered my feed cost anyway.
