OK so please do not judge my butchering skills at this time, where the skin all went I don't know and like I said I now know how to cut and tuck the legs, so next birds will actually be pretty.

I am letting the birds rest and then I will debone and add to the juices in the crock pot for late supper. I assume if I would have left all that fat I would have more CHoooce as poppop would have said! (juice)
please excuse the hair, I didn't burn and I missed some, sorta like picking bones out of trout

OMG I think to myself get the heck out.... MOM tastes and OMGAWD seriously! the most tender juicy chicken I have ever eaten, better than any turkey as well!
And I make some awesome juicy turks!

Lucas (5) ate an entire brahma breast! I hope he don't get sick!

BTW I added 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups salt to cover two roos in a 5 gal bucket, let them sit in the lower level fridge since Monday like that!!!
Roasted in the brown bag, for 4.5 hrs!

Sally, just pretend that that each of your broiler chickens are one of those theiving chicken hawks that you and Foghorn Leghorn have been dealing with. If that don't work buy a gold fish bowl a start raising sea monkeys.
we did raise sea monkeys!! WE KILLED THEM TOO!! bawahhhhhaaaaaaaaa (but we didn't eat them)

Yes, I'm laughing! Now you know why all that processing pita is worth it. :D And my tenderhearted 9yo DD had about the same reaction - "Please, please Mama, order more broilers!"
 
Sigh. My freezer is empty of homegrown. And my CX broilers are only just now 6 weeks, and I like an 8wk+CX.

And my Production reds are three weeks. Sally, I'm hungry! Save me some - I'll be there by 5. LOL
