I am such an freak! one minute I am fine envisioning all this and then I place my roos in that vision and I am wrenched, wtheck is wrong with me!
Tomorrow morning I will start reading from the beginning of this thread again and go through all we have discussed and try to get my mindset back,
but right now its gone! I cant believe I am having such an issue with this, my dad would certainly have a good laugh and some smarty comments for me!
He would certainly call me a GIRL like oz did

QUICK LAST question as I am gathering this stuff...... Is there a time frame I need to hit to get all the feathers out? or once you dip the bird they should come out no matter how slow I am?

I am one of the world's slowest pluckers. It gets a little harder as time goes on. Get the wing and tail feathers first - they're hardest. Bottom line, I'd say you want at least the majority off before rigor sets in, so you can draw more easily. Plucking for pretty can be done later.

i shoot for no more than an hour, the goal is to get that meat chilling as quickly as possible,,,,,,,the weather is in your favor today, just stay out of the sun and you can take your time getting the plucking done,,,within reason,,,you do not want it to take 3 hours to pluck...,,,if you are worried about time, go ahead and pluck then chill in some ice water before going back to cleaning out...I do this when teaching others in the summer and it is just taking longer than I am comfortable with...
