I may need an intervention, but for another reason......40 meaties coming in 10 days, and just bought 8 2 1/2week-old black and blue copper marans......what was I thinking???perhaps, my guess is I have at LEAST 14 weeks to figure out HOW!

imagine 12 young men after your woman..... better? Bawahhhhaaaaaa
SERIOUSLY, you will do fine. distance yourself now.... start another brooder and keep them separate from those silkies first off.
Silkies will be dwarfed by them in a week and its best for both to separate. I left mine in with my silkies and they trampled one.
also it will keep you from playing with the meaties, you can better focus on the sweetness!
Good reason to buy a new knife for sure! Why didn't I think of that!
And that doesn't include the 13 layers w/ their rooster, 3 black copper marans young roos, 2 of which go to the freezer, and 3 young blue copper maran pullets.....the math gets worse all the time......PLUS I have an order for 20 more Red Rangers scheduled for July that I have yet to cancel.....Chicken math takes another victim!
oh, no.... didn't you hear???? It has been decided that meaties don't count when doing your additions or multiplications in chicken math! Since they aren't staying you don't count them, you don't want them to use up valuable numbers that you absolutely must have for your other birds!!!Chicken math takes another victim!

I love this thread. You all crack me up!
I preface everything with "if the meat tastes as good as they say it will"
I will likely only use CX for meaties. I find it very easy to distance myself
from them. Not sure I could do that with a dual purpose. But if I choose to,
at least I know where to turn for support. You all are da best!![]()
