Some chickens are noisier than others. Sometimes pullets are a little noisier in the beginning, too. It's all pretty new and stimulating.

This time of year more people are starting to look for chickens or thinking about building a coop. I'd try again and definitely try on BYC. Good luck!

I sold mine. I can't stand it when they won't shut up. I got rid of the rooster too, who would start up right after she did and then get everyone going.
