Processing Quail Pictures- WARNING Graphic!

Nice job Niki!!! It really is simple and your pics were great. I never would have thought I could do it but somehow you figure it out. Not nearly as hard as you might think.

As far as getting the insides out, just reach in and pull. Most of it comes right out in one tug. The lungs and esophagus are a little tricky but after you get the hang of it (like by the second time!) it's easy.

I boil everything except the head & intestines and feed them to the dogs/cats. They will love you for it!

I won't give it to my dogs because my male retrieves them for me sometimes (if one gets loose and i can't catch it i ask him to) I dont want him getting any ideas when he has my fluffers in his mouth

It's better than the 5 day hospital stay that happened every time I tried to eat meat. I ate it growing up, and then started getting sick. It's apparently a chemical sensitivity to something that's in all meat, "free range/grass fed/organic/raised in a bubble" or not.

Which is kind of a scary thought all by itself. So no more meat for me, I just cook it for That Guy and drool.

My friend Manda processed Psycho the Evil Quail a couple weeks ago and was taunting me with how good he tasted

WOW!!!! I think you have Shelley beat on the allergies to foods area! Hers is eggs and I feel bad enough for her and reading this....5 day hospital stays everytime.....okay....im thankful for eggs and meat....seesh poor people

Oh well, im sure a vegetarian diet done properly is extreemly healthy compaired to how normal food reacting people eat....im a hog with food soo...LOL!

I have over 60 chickens, 19 ducks, and 23 quail (for now), and I can't eat eggs!

Pretty crazy huh?

I also highly doubt that I would EVER be able to process a quail! I doubt I would even be able to eat one if my dad processed it, especially if it was one that I had hatched! So I just hatch them and sell them for now, and let other people enjoy them! I would really like to try quail meat, I just know I can't do it!

Nah, I'm just jerkin your chain! It is not a secret by any means. And I never claimed to be right in the head anyway!
