I just bought a bag from my local TSC. When I got it home and opened it I noticed after I dumped it in my storage feed bin (of course) that it was neither cracked (whole kernels) and also had some sort of pellet mixed in. It says Cracked Corn on the bag.

I'm not feeding it to the flock, and I am pretty miffed I have to go back in get more, and hope that it's correct. Not sure I want to trust this company anymore. I contacted Cargill (The producers of the corn) and am still awaiting their response.

Anyone else had this problem before? I'm in NE Tennessee.

I've had moldy feed twice from TSC. Both times I had another hour drive to return it. If I hadn't opened it immediately they would have blamed me.
I demanded and received a discount to pay for my gas.
The first time it was 10 bags, the next time it was 3.
I don't buy feed there any more. I found another source.

The only other place I have in my area is another feed store and I have gotten really moldy feed from them, I refused to back.

This is more of a manufacturers error. I don't blame TSC for it, since it's the company that milled its fault. I do agree that it could be TSC or the manufacturers fault on the moldy feed though. Sounds like a moisture issue.

I found out it's made by Purina. I'll be looking for another cracked corn supplier, since I really don't like Purina as a company anyway.

I'm lucky enough to live in an area that has feed mills and the corn is ground while you wait. I am a big proponent of being a consumer that will and have, taken my business elswhere even if that means I drive alittle farther. Feed and grains cost money, a fair amount too. I also have no problem with e-mailing the company with the complaint. You may not get a reply but it gives you the opportunity to get the word out.
