Production Red or Rhode Island Red? Hen or Rooster?

Production Red or Rhode Island Red? or some other breed? This seems to be the chicken that is at the top of the pecking order weighing in at 61 ounces at 14 weeks.

I sometimes suspect she is a roo.

100% rooster. And he isn't a production red or Rhode Island Red, since he has a pea comb. Instead, he is a Buckeye.

I'm Mrs. LI Chicken, If we can't give him away, can anyone tell me how loud a Buckeye Roo is? I'm kind of attached to "Red" but don't want to get screwed by the town.

Well, like all large fowl males, he'll be mighty loud.

It is generally accepted the range of sound is roughly 3/4 mile, in good weather.
