Production Reds?

I bought these chicks when just hatched and were told they were female Production Reds but they are more white speckled mixed in with the reddish brown than other pictures show. They are about 5 weeks old. Maybe they will loose the white feathers later?

Nope. You accidentally got Speckled Sussex. They're a lot like Production Reds, but lay slightly smaller eggs (in my peripheral experience; I've never personally owned any) and are a little less neurotic, as chickens go.

Hi!

I’m not an expert of chicken breeds at all. Lol. They look a little bit like speckled Sussex. They are normally dark brown with white spots.

Once again, I’m not an expert of chicken breeds.

Those are totally speckled Sussex. Beautiful birds!!
