Production Reds

400
does anyone know what breed this is

I had two production reds and they are very sweet, and like to sit on my lap. I also have golden laced wyandottes and easter eggers and they fly on me when I'm sitting down.

We got four PR's from a local feed store early April. They are bossy, but confident and do not attack. They are all hens who are already starting to lay big brown eggs. I love these girls, they seem lots smarter than the EE's we have, but are definitely not as "sweet" as our three EE's. These were in a bin labeled Production Reds-pullets so we paid more for these chicks (2.00 a piece)

We spoil them.

Oh! Sorry about that, the bin definitely said "production red pullets". These are our first flock and good to know, thank you. This link below shows a picture of a "production red" adult from their hatchery....they look like mine?

This same site shows a photo of a "Red sex link"

I know how they do it, they get a bunch of red chicks in and call them pro reds. My TSC does this also. It's okay with you posting them here though.
I had some Production Red hens that I breed to a (he looked like an EE) 1/2 Naked NEck and 1/2 Easter Egger that was Blue-Taield Red. Got the babies and they are about 9 weeks old.

The TSC near me did the same thing. They labeled one bin PRs and one was labeled Red Pullets. I ended up with a bunch of red chickens and some roosters that look more like RIRs.

Your Red-Sex links sound like mine. I have 4 girls and as soon as I go outside can call the girls they come running. Not a bad feather on their bodies.
