We placed Goldie and her chicks in with the 14 medium chicks, and our Dark Brahma ("the Turkey") who needed a break from the roosters.
She lunged at the medium ones a few times just to get the point across, but overall it seemed to all work out.
Ares was very interested in the small ones, and she didn't seem to mind him. She puffed up at other roosters who quickly got the hint.
Eventually Goldie and her flock were encouraged into the 4x4 cage that we locked and tarped, inside of which is a smaller plastic box with hay in it. The cage is enclosed by the yard fencing.
The Turkey went to sleep in the small coop with the 14 medium chicklets, just as we hoped. She is not aggressive towards them and was raised with Goldie, so is a very good liason. We might give her a break from the roosters until the yard is expanded very soon.
