Oh thats a big bator , do you know what kind it is or model rather, Im new to all this terminalgy, looks like you could hatch a few eggs in that thing
How are youre temps and humidty looking?

Okay I didn't mean to post the same thing twice I kept getting error messages, until just now all the sudden. Yes it is big but not filled, this is only my first time. Maybe next time.

Okay My humidity is at 40%, I know that is a bit higher then most people, but that is where it is staying constant, and I already took the sponge out, but the temps stay consistant with the water pan in. It is a Sportsman GQF hatcher actaully from what I understand but it's an incubator in my home. My DH got it from a guy at work whose wife used to have chickens but got tired if it I guess. It's an older model so kinda hard to find information on it. I did find the manual online, but it's several models in one and kinda hard to understand. How many times a day do you think I should turn them? Some people say 3 some say 5-7 times.

think 40% is ok some people do lower and some do higher but dont look a gift horse in the mouth as they say if your temps are stable and that humidity is stable and all is going well If it were me I would just leave it be , and watch it closely.
I wish I knew someone that jsut didnt want there bator anymore then I woudnt have a headach from trying to track down a shipement that dostn exhist yet beacuse its orderd but for whatever reason not shipped.

I had to buy it, but I only paid $100, and since it was close, no shipping so that was a bonus too.

If your air is stable then the wiggler will eventually be ok also..

as long as the air is not over 100.5 and the wiggler is not under 98 and both are stable, relax..

45 is ok for humidity.. of course humidity is a widely contested issue so go with whatever you feel comfortable with..

do you know how to set your back up thermostat?

OK I just read the rest of the posts and saw your pictures.. It looks like you have a hatcher there.. that is fine it will work as a bator ...

forget about the back up thermostat for this hatch.. I did not know you had your eggs in already.. the back up thermostat only keeps the bator from going over 100.5 F. as a safety precaution.. It is never used unless your first thermostat fails completely,,,,,very rare.. don't lose any sleep over it..

I don't know how to work my back up one at all. Both temps are reading 100 deg. right now

Okay temps still at 100 even, I am going to turn them again, I wish this 3 weeks would go fast!!!
