Prolapse and can't poop

Thank you. Getting the coconut oil and heading out there now.
This will take some time to resolve, so just keep working on her as she will allow. You may find that you need to give her breaks and work on her several short period of time throughout the day instead of a couple of longer sessions. The important thing is to keep the tissue moist. Keep her hydrated and get the Calcium into her.

If she resists being in the water, then use some warm epsom salt compresses.
That white material can set up like concrete. Do you have any Mineral Oil? If not, how about coconut oil? Mineral oil works a little better, but apply some oil to the white material, then hold your warm compress on it, keep the compresses fairly warm. Do this for about 10minutes if she will tolerate it. Then see if any of the white material will start to come loose. Stop if the tissue starts to bleed.

Once done, coat all of that really well with your anti-inflammatory cream, some honey, oil, etc. whatever you have to keep the tissue moist.

I would get Calcium into her one daily. This is important. Calcium can help with retention and healing.
You can find Calcium Citrate+D3 in the vitamin aisle of stores like Walmart, CVS, etc. Give 1 tablet daily, just pull down on her wattles, pop the tablet into the beak and let her swallow.

Do make sure she's drinking. She needs to stay hydrated.
Oh my gosh this was so helpful! I just did the coconut oil and warm compress and was able to get a lot of the white stuff off and loosened up. It looks like her skin is pretty healthy underneath it all. She even pooped a bit while I was doing it. I'll work on it more in the morning but I'm feeling much more hopeful about her now. I'll get her some calcium in the morning. I did give her some eggshell today as well.

Oh good, nice job!

I agree, the tissue does look healthy underneath.
Just keep working on it slowly. I'd place her somewhere that flies can't get onto the exposed tissue, if they lay eggs, then you'll have more problems to deal with.

Unfortunately I don't really have anywhere to put her away from flies. I recently dealt with fly strike on another girl so I'm definitely checking for any movement when I clean her up. There were some little fly babies the first day but I haven't seen anymore since then.

OK Good that you know what to look for.

You could apply some Swat Fly Repellant Ointment along the outer edges on the intact skin and feathers, that may help deter flies. I would not apply it to the prolapsed tissue. Just a thought.
