Prolapse first aid

Good morning I have two female make pies both under two years old so far have been exhibiting normal behaviours… however I noticed both females have what looks to be a massive haemorrhoid outside the butt or a prolapsed anus? (Poop seems to be normal liquid white - normal bathroom tendencies)

I don’t have the easiest access to vets in my area, so I would love any medical advice that could be given while I search for one. I am hoping it’s not a prolapsed vent.

Both ducks seem to be exhibiting other signs of normal behaviour, no one is sneezing, or has additional drooping of the nostrils eyes are not inflamed or red.

If someone could please tell me what caused this and what I should do that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have any other birds in with them? Any drakes? Other ducks or chickens?

I would let them soak in lukewarm water with Epson salt use a bin or a bucket so they can’t drink it while they’re in there if they drink too much Epson salt water they’ll get some nasty diarrhea after they’re soaked and cleaned up if you can get some better pictures that would be good. When my duck had the prolapse I used witch hazel to shrink the tissue then I applied Manuka honey and pushed it back in and held it in for a while and kept putting a little more honey in every day couple of times for a few days and then it stayed in.
but it could be something else. I can’t really tell from the pictures.
I asked about other birds because I believe the reason my duck plus a couple other of my ducks had prolapses was they were terrified of the chickens I used to have in with them, and they could not sit and lay their egg without being harassed and having to push out the egg real quick and get up and run away

My little 3 weeks old chick just had prolapse, vent is swollen. It was terrible as yours.


here is what I did:
I soaked her in Epson salt water.
use finger to gently push back the red (comeout).
held her in my hand whole night, made sure she got enough sleep.
drop eye drop (Visine red eye ), may have a little anti biotic.
I spray two times chinese herbal medicine that treat human mouth ( from local store)
(any medicine that treat human mouth can work on this.)
thanks god, she came back to normal.
