Before cleaning
After cleaning - Plucked feathers and cleaned with chlorhexidine and saline
What I don't have pictures of are after debriding (removing dead tissue).
This hen was treated for worms, coccidiosis, and bacterial infection. She was also given fluids, meloxicam, and calcium gluconate for the egg.
Since she was very alert I decided to let her soak in a tub of warm water for about an hour after receiving her fluids, meloxicam, and calcium. After about an hour she passed her egg in the tub.
I kept her in a dark room and cut back on her feed which seemed to suppress her egg laying and the prolapse healed completely.
Here she is a few days later.
