Prolapsed ceca?

Hello everyone! Three days ago I noticed one of my ladies puffed with a wet tail. Turns out she had a textbook prolapse. I cleaned her up and gently pushed the prolapse back in and added some hydrocortisone for the swelling. She was then kept in a "hospital" box in my dark bathroom to keep her from laying. She did lay that night (I think it was inevitable) but hasn't since. Today is day three in the hospital box and when I turned her over to inspect I saw something "intestine like" coming out of her vent. Is this part of her ceca? Does that mean she's a lost cause? By the end of day one she was unpuffed and has a healthy appetite and thirst so she does not appear in pain. Please see attached photos. I didn't touch it as I didn't want to potentially disembowel her. Thank you for y'all's help!!

The ceca are two "sacks" that hold good bacteria—I would find it hard to believe one could invert, given how long and thin they are.

Whatever is hanging out of this bird, it is likely not a cecum. You did the right thing not pulling it. Not puffed + eating would be a great sign. If this were my bird, I would make a simple saline solution to keep it damp with (if it is a piece of colon, it will NOT want to be dry) wait/watch. Ideally, it will turn out to be a bit of sloughed tissue/mucus that will pass on its own.
