Prolapsed Vent HELP

@Ella_michele08

Try the 1/4 immodium. I swear that changed everything since part of the problem was her vent working overtime to push out poop.

When I used the giant blob of cortisone and held it in place, I thought she would be unhappy about it. But once I had my finger in she totally relaxed. It must have felt better having her insides back where they belong for a few seconds.
I will try

This is all I could get at the DG today, I hope it's good enough, bc I didn't have much to spend on it rn and this is the only one that wasn't the DG brand and the only one left

That should work. I just have the multi symptom one at home already. The tablet looks to be a similar size. I just guessed on an amount. Not scientific but I was desperate to make it stop.
My poor chicken's butt and undercarriage were covered in dried urates and poop. She had a bath 3 days in a row. She especially liked the spray nozzle my husband put on the bathroom utility sink. It probably felt really good. LOL

I would not give an anti-diarrheal, the hen is leaking urates. This is Extremely Common when there's a prolapse. The tissue is swollen, she's having trouble with retention as it is, so she's going to leak.

Once the prolapse has been treated and healed, the leaking will stop.

Get the Calcium into her once daily. Keep the tissue moist with ointment or oil. Clean her up and care for her at least once daily.

See that she's drinking and eating well.

I'm sure it did!
I would like to spray down her butt but at the same time I don't wanna do more work, lol.

I hope it helps maybe alittle (fingercrossed).

Yeah the stuff on her butt is the same with Abby!

I was thinking and I've been using the hypocortizone cream and I can tell it's still inflammed(swollen) which is crazy, and not good😅

Should I give her 1/4 a tablet once a day?

What kind of calcium?

I won't be here next Friday thru Monday morning so I hope she'll be ok

Calcium citrate with vitamin D. I would have bought that first. Calcium carbonate or Tums is okay, but the citrate works faster. Imodium is not a good thing to give her as Wyorp Rock said. Calcium helps muscle contraction to keep the prolapse in, and to help pass eggs.
