prolapsed vent ***update***

I had a hen last year that was eggbound and had the prolapsed rectum too. We soaked her, she passed a soft shelled egg. We kept her in the dark to stop her from laying eggs. We kept her quiet for a few days and ended up losing her anyway.
I hope you have better luck.
It sucks losing these birds.

Well good news! I got home from work today and her rear end looks almost normal!!! She has sucked it back in so I sprayed her with blu-kote and let her back with the others. She's still not 100% I saw her strain to go poop but she still sucked it all back in on her own. We will see!!
