My poor cream legbar. She had a prolapsed vent that we tried to guide back in. This is 4 days post our fist intervention. Does this look normal? When it was initially noticed, we used vetericyn to try to stave off infection but I’m concerned she may need more intervention. We also have been giving her electrolytes and vitamins in her water. Her “backside” smells terrible. We had to put her in a warm bath to get all of the droppings off of her butt. I am concerned she is not being able to “poop” correctly bc her vent is all messed up. Her droppings seem to “ooze” out of the vent. I am still fairly new-ish to chicken raising so any advice/suggestions would be appreciated. She does seem to have a decreased appetite, but otherwise seems her normal sweet self (her comb is vibrant red).

Was she able to lay an egg?

I would give her extra calcium. 1/2 tablet Caltrate for 3 days.
Hard to know if the prolapse went in correctly or not. The leaking of fecal matter is concerning. Does she seem to strain when pooping?
