Prolapsed Vent?

Hi friends! This morning I noticed a protrusion in the vent area of one of our hens. I did a little research that led me to believe it might be a prolapsed vent. I wanted to reach out to the community to see if you might be able to help me either confirm or identify what this might be and see if anyone has any recommendations for treatment? Thank you all in advance!! 🤗❤️

I'm sorry I don't know how to help. All I can say is bring her inside till someone can help you more!

It looks like she has had a prolapsed cloaca/vent and has been vent pecked. Separate now, place her in a dog crate on a warm towel with food and water. Give her a human calcium tablet with vitamin D or tums right away, in case she has a stuck egg. It can also help with muscle contraction. Keep her prolapse from drying out. Honey, vaseline, mineral oil, or hydrocotisone cream. It may take a few days for it to go back inside. Here is a good article to read:
