Prolaspe with coughing up water?

Lynne you are awesome!

Thank you.

She is only about 5 weeks I would say. As for the breed I think it may be just a game hen. We are very new at this and have several breeds but we are not sure of each one, yet.

They were bought as straight run birds.

I greatly appreciate your help. I bought so Prep H. and we will give it a try with the sugar.

Again thank you!

You are very welcome. Be persistent and please come back and let us know how she is doing.

Here are some links at BYC to discussions about prolapse, some in chicks-

OHHHH this isn't getting better. We have been putting the preparation H on his butt and even started them all on antibotics but now he is coughing up water? And his stool is very runny. Un top of that his bottom that is coming out seems to have an odd white blister on it?

He's not going to make it is he?

Having chickens is hard.........

I know I keep saying he but he is a she and she died. It was wierd. She ate what I feed her and I put her down so she could rest and went back about an 1 hour later and her whole body was like liquified. Seriously, very strange and I don't know what would cause it and if my other chicks are safe!?

Makes me wonder if there wasn't something physically wrong with chick to begin with. . . just keep an eye on the rest, but it is sounding like it was just that one poor chick.

Please keep us posted on how your other chicks do.
