) and he had to tell me how awesome they were. He's all... "oh honey it was huge, beautiful (raises his hands to demonstrate) black something or other" (I interject "Australorp"). Yep I was right. What a skunk. He's telling me all about it knowing I'm sitting here thinking "ya jerk. If we had a coop built we could have taken them and started a flock".

So now I am looking for pallets and stuff again since the last batch went to a dog house for a dog we no longer have (it's ok because the other dogs use it all the time).

For only two chickens, you could just use a dog house, to get yourself started! My first run was a roll of wire and some t-posts. If she goes broody in the spring and starts incubating a clutch of eggs, then you can tell your hubby to get busy building something bigger!

I started out with a some chix wire wrapped
around t post Dh didnt like it so he got busy.. We now have 30-35
chickens not sure how many and 7 coops.
build it and they will come..LoL
Flock tender to silkies, ameraucanas , Orps.
and banty cochins.

It looks like I found a crate and a cage for brooding. Gonna go get em after dinner.

I got them. The brooding cage is perfect. It's what the lady used for brooding her last chicks.
