Pronunciation please...

I wasn’t sure where else to put this. I have always love Wyandotte hens in all their variations, but I have never actually heard the name pronounced. Can anyone tell me definitively, is it “why-an-dot” or “why-an-dote”?

It's probably regional, much like "muscovy" because Google says Why-an-dot, but I've only ever heard why-an-dote.

Thank you guys! I had googled it first, but I don’t always trust google when it comes to proper nouns. It is funny in this age of doing almost everything online that we almost never have to expose our ignorance like this!

I used to call it Wyandotte until I heard that it is called Wyandot. It is the name of a native tribe, somehow we added te at the end but it is silent.
