Will laying mesh hurt11 week old pullets? my oldest pullets are 19 weeks old and starting to lay. I have been feeding a 20% developer but feel I should now feed laying mesh. My problem is that I also have some 11 week old R.I. Red pullets in the same pen. Which food should I feed or am I going to have to separate them?

The non laying chickens should not have it because it is high in calcium which could damage their liver and kidneys. you can continue to use the feed you have them all on and just offer oyster shell on the side. the younger chicks will ignore it and the layers will eat it as they need it.
