I have a smooth frizzle roo (ie, is heterozygous for frizzle, but feathers are smooth) and a frizzle roo. Both have equal interest in the hens, and equal opportunity. I have read that straight frizzle breedings can result in other mutations, such as lack of feathers. All I have done with my frizzles is show them, and sorta try to get more, but I had to depend on broody hens that weren't smart enough to sit on the eggs. Now we are gonna get an incubator, and I am a little more concerned. Should I limit access to one roo or the other?

How do you know he carries frizzle if his feathers are not frizzled? Frizzle is dominant, so unless he also carries the frizzle modifier he will show it if he carries frizzle.
