prospective duck momma with questions first!

Ok, I have another, probably silly, question for you.

When cooking or baking, do you use duck eggs just the same as chicken eggs? Are there other things I should know about duck eggs?

Don't know about them living with chickens, I don't have them. But I live in ME and have never had a problem with ducks dealing with cold.
We used heated dog bowls in winter for water and a bird bath heater in the pool. It saves TONS of time with refilling frozen pans/bowls. As long as they have a place to get out of the elements if they want, they will be fine. I add cracked corn to their food in the winter too.
Sorry if any of this was covered in other posts. Did not read them all.

They are 'more eggy' then chicken eggs and cook up fluffier when baking. Otherwise they are the same.

Ducks are wearing waterproof down coats so they aren't bothered by cold. Have a place where they can get out of the wind and rain and they will be fine.

I use duck eggs exactly like chicken eggs and substitute one for one when cooking. The only difference is if you want to fry them, use lower heat and get them out of the pan as soon as they are done. If you fry them at high temperatures and get them over-done, they get rubbery.

My duck eggs are not strong flavored. They have almost no odor at all, It is probably going to depend upon what they eat, but I think they taste like home grown chicken eggs (but not like store bought chicken eggs.)
