Protecting from coyotes

Ok tell you what, if that coyote can dig under(which he is very capable of doing) put you up a small piece of electric wire and do that and it will shock the bajeebers out of him. Or I know this is cruel( I usually like to end an animals life very quickly and less painful to the animal as possible but you have to do what you have to do) but soak a hot dog in antifreeze overnight and put it in a small panty hose in a tree. But please only do this if you are desperate. Don't do it just to try and get rid of him. Anyways good luck with everything and I hope you can get rid of him. Dead or alive. thanks Dusty

i would put a dead bolt lock in the chicken coop door if i had one laying around

but i would used Safety Hasp on the top and bottom of the door [ like this one http://www.lowes.com/pd_308987-5454...L=/pl__0__s?newSearch=true$Ntt=hasp$y=11$x=36 ]with bolt going though the eye and used the same kind on the top too. the round top door is only for ventilation to u have other open toward the top too?

I would never poison a coyote with antifreeze. Making an animal suffer....that's just terrible, no matter how desperate you are.

And I will definitley invest in some sturdier locks, thanks for the tips.
