I am assuming I have protruding vent on my baby hen. I noticed her rear bare and she was pecking it so I pulled her from the rest of the babies. I did wipe some poop away with a warm cloth but it was not dried yet.

I noticed her vent sticking out a lot more than the others. I also noticed when she poops she’s makes a higher pitches noise and poops a tiny amount but it is soft. Like I said above she also pecks her rear.

This is my first time with baby chicks! I just want to make sure it’s protruding vent. Just wanting some clarification!

Did u get them from a hatchery or hatch them yourself? If you got them from a hatchery, they tend to squeeze them to much and check to see if they are hens and roosters.
