Protrusion care

That's not a prolapse.
Look up Vent Gleet.

One might be wise to look at the "BYC Pro's" username and profile. Just because "vet" is in the name doesn't mean they are a vet. To my knowledge there is no such thing as a "BYC PRO" and there are No chicken vets (A "Real" DVM) on this site. This site is mainly comprised of small backyard chicken keepers that have made a community of trying to help one another out, there are no doctors here, so seeking profession medical help by a licensed Vet is always best.

ECXUSE ME- Please look at the red sore area at the top of the photo This is 5 days after she had prolapse with flesh protruding out. I've used Vetricyn, epsom soaks and pushed it back in. It's staying in now and thats what you are seeing.
AND the person who advised me is clear that she's not a vet. But I contacted her first last week after reading her article on Prolapse.

BYC Pro is my term for all you guys who are helpful & knowledge like a Pro.

By the way nobody likes being talked down to. Maybe you should have read my entire post

Yes, it looks like Vent Gleet. Could be leaking urates from the prolapse, but she's not prolapsed now. If you are trying to stop her from laying eggs, she must be in the dark for 16 hours a day (total darkness), this can take weeks. It's not a quick fix.

Not talking down to you, just giving a heads up. Many people think they are speaking with vets when they are on here and that's not the case. Some people present themselves as vets (which I have seen) and that's not the case.
