Hi everyone - I am brand new to owning chickens. Just received my day old chicks two weeks ago. All four appear to be healthy and doing well. They are sure messy but cute as can be!

I have been reading all the helpful posts here and decided it was time to join. This place has provided me so much info on what to do. I was well prepared for my arrivals. I heard that California is really flexible with backyard chickens, and so is Seattle, WA. I grew up on the West Coast, but now live in New England. I did alot of research before I picked my breed. Needed robust ones that could handle three girls, cats, dog, and bunny!

So far so good - all are adjusting (existing pets too!).
