Our neighborhood rooster moved away and we missed hearing him crow!
So a friend gave us this poor little roo that was pecked 1/2 bald by the bigger roos.
We got him 2 hens to keep him company. After a couple of tentative months, he filled out and gained confidence and now proudly announces that he is our main man!
This Spring we bought 8 banties and 6 pullets to give him a kingdom to rule.
(of course a few turned out to be roos too, but he is definately the lead roo)
