Providing vegetation and bugs for a blind rooster

I would give some BOSS as well. Black Oil Sunflower Seeds representing about 5% of his diet by weight to help put shine back into his feathers. Make certain he has a good place to dust bath.
Here is Joe in present day! He is my very beautiful boy. I was planning on adding BOSS to their diet anyway though :) so he should benefit from it either way.

Crap dandelions grow wild here in arkansas year round. They drive my dad mad trying to get rid of, I really don't mind em. Later when they seed I can mail ya a pack but once you get them started growing if you have any neighbors with well maintained yards they will be ready to shoot you if they find out you planted them.

I do not like the way he is holding his right wing. Does he have a perch to fly up on or some other way to get some flight exercise. This would require at least some vision to work. If not, then that is where a daily intervention involving handling could help. Keeping him in good muscle tone will help in many ways.

He has a huge comb for a game rooster.

There’s a lot of land between us and our neighbors all taken over by goats and horses who would eat them. Hopefully they won’t reach the neighbors yards! Would love some seeds :)

He does have a perch, but we have to put him up on it. He’s tried to fly before in the evening trying to roost but he can’t see so he would just fall down, sometimes fly into things. I never really thought much about him not getting any flying exercise. Thank you for pointing it out, definitely important. What can I do to help him?

He does have a big comb!
