Breaking a broody isn't easy. But this week I had good success breaking my broody eight-month old Black Cochin in three days. I put her in a wire-bottomed cage with a fan blowing her under-side in a brightly lit spot. I let her out periodically to stretch her legs and eat and drink, but she spent two nights in the cage.
