Sometimes, or should I say ALL of the time, it depends on YOU. Leading a Role Play looks fun and easy. Lots of people think they could easily handle it...but here's the thing you need to think about:

Chat thread?
Archives?
Accepting forms?
Following rules?

It can get confusing. #1- make sure you are active on BYC enough so that you can run your Role Play smoothly and accept forms frequently. If you are too inactive, or a person has been waiting hours and hours to get accepted, your RP might slow down....then altogether stop because it won't be fun, interactive, or get recommended.

Some people take a long time to plan out their thread. Others sit down for a couple minutes, and when they stand back up their thread has already been published (that's me) Will it have a storyline? What kind of animal should it be about? Others, (like me), sometimes take the time to make a tag list!!

Usually this is how I pick what my RP is going to be about:
What kind of animal do I like?
What kind of animal do I enjoy talking about?
What kind of animal is easy enough to be role played?
What would other people be interested in?
Are there already multiple other RPs staring this certain animal?
