Puffed up hen

Last night I put 12 eggs in the coop, this morning she was still poofed out and she had took all but 3 and piled them under her in the nesting box, Im going to mark them and we will see :) if she does sit, how many days should I wait to candel them? I tried last night before I put them back but all I could see was alot of speckles, no viens, no visible air sacs, just alot of speckles somewere I read that means the egg is infertile but the roo gets both the hens in that pen.

So I researched speckled egg candeling and found out my eggs are actually porous.I am doing my research on porous eggs and guess I will be going and buying oyster shells for my gals hoping to up thier calcium. But my eggshells are hard, could I still have porous eggs with hard shells?

It takes about 3 days to be able to see anything in a white egg. It can take up to a week to see something in a brown egg. Some of my blue Easter Egger eggs are impossible to see anything but the aircell.
Day 10 is a good first candle day. Doing it at night will make it easier to see what's going on in the eggs and be less stressful for mamma. Remove any eggs that aren't developing.
And don't worry too much about the porous eggs. As long as they haven't been washed, they should be fine.

So I took the 3 eggs she didn't added to her clutch and decided to candel them before the fridge, this one obviously has viens that move when I move the egg. Is there a reason she decided it don't go into the clutch? Or should I put it in there

Ok so yesterday I didn't even know my hen was broody and I never expected my red girl to even do so but she does have a clutch and is acting very broody even though she's not actively sitting on them 24/7. I candeled, marked and kept 12 that had visible viening today, but I am new to this whole thing. Here some of the pics from the ones I kept, can you tell me round about what day I'm on? And what I should do if she doesn't sit. Thanks!
