Puffed Up Hen?

Hello, for the past 3 days one of my Blue Plymouth Rock hens has been walking around with hackles raised, tail up, and wings fluffed. She interacts with the other hens is eating and drinking but is always puffed up like this and moody clucking. What is going on with her and should I be concerned?

She's probably contemplating being broody.
Often my broody hens will walk around like this, but not actually sit.
As long as she is ok apart from that, I should think she is ok.

It might be pre broody behavior.
Is she spending too much time in nest
Is her breast feathers missing.

Seems broody-ish. Does she have access to a nest with eggs?

No missing breast feathers. I did move her out of the nest two days because she was staying on the eggs, but she didn’t try to go back to them at all. She’s just turned a year old so perhaps going broody and not sure what to do. I removed the eggs early this morning and she was out walking the yard.

Does she growl when you move her from eggs ?

I agree she's probably pre-broody. May or may not end up setting. Assuming you don't want to hatch, if you don't already have an isolation cage to break a broody, now would be a good time to get one, in case it's needed.
