I have a hen who has had an infected eye for a while now and she’s gone through treatments of antibiotics (eye got slightly better) but that didn’t fix it. I also got ciproloxin eye drops which also did nothing. Her eye also has some ooze coming out but there’s just pink skin over her eye and I’m pretty sure she can’t see anything out of it. It’s a bit puffy and I’d really like to help her.

have you tried Terramyacin eye ointment? I would clean it 2-3 times a day with a saline rinse also. sometimes a warm compress helps too just make sure clean and sterile and no warmer than whats comfortable on your wrist.

Is a vet an option?
Are you sure it's not an eye worm?
If your not treating right infection all your doing is throwing money away and when it's needed it may not work.

Can you take her to a vet?
If she's got ooze coming out that would be pus. That needs to be removed in order for the eye to heal.
Looks like you have been dealing with this for a while - same chick as the other thread? https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/can’t-find-chicks-eye.1324984/#post-21611942

That reminds me . . . I have treated her for a long time with terramyacin eye ointment and it did nothing but create more ooze and junk. I've given her saline rinses too. A vet isn't an option as there aren't any near me for hours and hours. I don't know what an eye worm is but I'll look into that

Yes, this is the same hen. There aren't any vets near me except for dogs/cats. I don't know how to get rid of it myself cus i dont want to squeeze her eye out. . . I dont know what I would be squeezing.

You will have to squeeze the pus out. If it doesn't come out, then it won't get better.
Does the ooze have a foul odor?
