It's mating season over here, and one of my pullets is clearly a favorite. I was checking up on her this evening and she has a bloody face. They pecked a couple of pieces off of her comb and i just feel really bad for her. She is one out of 8 pullets (i know, probably need more) but they have enough others to go after. How do i treat it? Do i need desinfectant?

Get rid of the cockerels before they result in her death.
We can probably keep them seperated for a while. It's a shame they need to be kept in their coop because of a bird flu. Otherwise they would have more space so she can get away from them.

I agree with @sourland. As far as dressing the wound, Blu-kote works well for all minor cuts and wounds. I've used it on combs/wattles many times. Your local feed store should have it, but it's also available online. Good luck.
Thanks! Will look into it and try to buy something for tomorrow.
