Hi guys!

I’m Susie, a newbie! I’m in Perth Australia and recently added a golden laced Wyandotte and a Plymouth Rock to our fam.
It’s myself, hubby rocky, girl sienna 2.5 years and Elijah boy 5 months living in surburbia but wishing to be in the country on a semi self sufficient property. ( hence username haha)
Starting the dream with just two chickens. My guess is the Plymouth Rock is a pullet and Wyandotte rooster. Anyone wish to correct me?
They are 6 weeks old today.

The one on the left of the 2nd photo looks to me like a Cockerel.

Hi Susie and welcome to BYC. I agree with your gender conclusions.

On this link you'll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping birds - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archives . Ditto the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

This is a useful link of BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3 I’d suggest including your location using the guide in that link. You can use this link to contact members in your area - Aussie Thread

Best wishes
