Hello everybody!
My husband and I decide to start homesteading this spring for health and fun. A short talk about chickens one night led to coming home from work the next day to hear "honey I ordered some hatching eggs" little more than a week later and I hear "honey some day old chicks will be here this week". That was five weeks ago. We now have 13 RIR, 5 silver lace wyandotttes, 33 cross rocks, 17 Mille Fleur, 18 quail that he ordered by mistake, lol, and a ten month old fizzle hen and rooster some guy in town didn't want. I really need to be more careful what I talk to him about!!

We are Brian and Lisa, have been married for five years, all 6 of our combined children are grown and out starting families of their own. That gives us 4 grand daughters already. Our four+ acres are located in Norton, Ohio.
Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Lisa

This site ( and chickens and other poultry ) should come with a warning label - they are all addictive!!

If he's crazy, I guess we all are too! Are you SURE he wasn't checking out BYC on the sly? It sounds like something that would happen AFTER you found BYC, not before!
