pullet a roo?

For the last two mornings my barred rock, unsure of age but under 20 wks, has crowed when I have let "her" out of "her" coop at about 6:00 AM. I don't think "she" looks like a roo. I'm confused. I've posted a pic below. Any ideas?

I bought 4 to start my little backyard flock for eggs only. Learning curve steep as I lost two to a raccoon. So now down to one NHR that isn't laying yet and my Barred Rock roo. If in the future if I let my NHR have some babies would they look really weird?
