Not a good idea. The scab is protection. The abcess has worked itself up to the top of the foot. IMO, that's where the drainage pressure will break open. The wrapping I suggested is like a 24 hour soak which speeds up the opening of the abcess. And protects the opening from contamination. I feel that with a clean area, chickens will still step in poop.
One thing I will do if I ever get another abcess (bumblefoot) is instead of plastic wrap, I will buy some extra extra large male c*nd*ms, probably more tear resistant, then wrap with bandage tape.
