I have a mix breed pullet who’s about 7 months old. We don’t know for sure how old she is since she was given to us as a chick but seems to be getting ready to stay laying. Ever since we got her she’s had a yellow/pinkish comb and face and bright yellow feet. She seems to be in perfectly good health, acts like all the other hens and eats and drinks fine. I don’t feel there’s anything to worry about but then again everything online says this IS something to worry about. Do you think this is something I should be concerned about. Its definitely gotten more orange since we first got her but it no where’s near red like the adult hens.

If she isn't laying yet, that's likely why her comb is that color. Mine had a similar color comb up until they started laying.

I'm not seeing any obvious signs of illness from the picture. If she seems otherwise healthy, she is most likely fine.

Okay that’s good to know thank you! I’m hoping she’ll start laying soon. She’s been spending a lot more time around the nest box lately 😄
