PULLET LOSING FEATHERS AROUND BELLY

Well then that explains the feather loss! She's a broody! I don't quite think you can pull off a 9 week old chick on her. Two weeks old is pushing it.. and the two week old chick doesn't understand why that big chicken thing keeps wanting to sit on it when it wants to go out and scratch around like it has for two weeks!

silkie, tell that to my three week old babies. I cant get them to enjoy the outside at ALL! Everytime I take them out, they will play 5 minutes tops, then crawl under my underarm!

Hahaha! Maybe they think you're warm! Then again I brood my chicks outside starting at about a week old so they don't really look to me for comfort. They look to me as food... hopefuly not that I am their food though.

today i came home and she wasnt on the nest. maybe just a broody scare? no feathers on the nest today, but the blue egg wasnt in the same box as the banty egg. usually they use the same box
