Pullet moving slowmo

Tonight, I got the main plug out of both sides. But most of the side inside wouldn’t come out by pressing on the side. I was able to get quite a bit out by using a blunted toothpick. But there’s still some deep inside… I sprayed her ear with vetericyn spray and I’m hoping it’ll work itself to the top or out itself. Oof.

Her little head felt warm, so I’m going to search for some antibiotics or at least oregano oil tomorrow.

I hope I’m doing the right thing by her, if anyone here has any other insights I’d love to hear them.

first ear infection I’ve dealt with in the 8 years I’ve been keeping chickens, it felt very overwhelming
I can imagine! Luckily I have not had to deal with chicken ear infections yet but all kinds of other issues, mostly injuries caused by predators.

Keep up the good work and keep us posted.
